We hope everyone is doing well and hopefully staying healthy! The Branson Veterans Week is only 2 months away. We had quite a few people respond to our first inquiry about coming to this year's Charlie Company reunion and at this time, we have about 24 that will be attending (4 are tentative). Please let me know if you are making plans to come.
Branson has a full schedule of events for the whole week! We have gathered and compiled a tentative Branson Veterans Week itinerary which you can find below and attached. Immediately below are a few things we wanted to point out so you did not overlook them. They require your attention sooner rather than later. These are just pointers to help you find out more information.

2021 TENTATIVE Branson Veterans Week Itinerary
Branson is one of the most veteran-friendly, patriotic cities in America. While Branson honors Veterans every day of the year, Veterans Homecoming Week is a special annual event for service members and their families.
Veterans Homecoming Week kicks off with a moving Vietnam Memorial Opening Ceremony and wraps up with an energetic parade on Veteran’s Day. In between, there are countless activities and programs in which your students can take part!

Traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall Opening Ceremony
The official half-scale traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the most visited memorial in Washington, D.C., nearly 240 ft. long and listing more than 58,000 names of the nation’s fallen heroes in the Vietnam conflict.

Barbara Fairchild’s Tribute to Veterans Worship Service
The Veterans Homecoming Week is Barbara Fairchild’s favorite time of the year. Branson is filled with Veterans and their precious spouses. As Barbara puts it, it’s an “Invasion of Heroes” and we love them all. “My eyes fill with tears so many times during this amazing Homecoming in our city.” Barbara has held a special Worship Service for many years to honor our veterans whom she states, “deserve our respect and appreciation. We can never adequately thank them enough. I feel we always fall short of giving them the praise and thanks they truly deserve, but that will never stop us from trying.”

Annual POW/MIA Service of Remembrance will honor those who fought for freedom, and lost their own lives on foreign soil during times of war. This emotional outdoor ceremony is to be held in front of the replica of the Vietnam Veteran Memorial Wall at the Welk Resort. Dress appropriately for possible cold temps. The remembrance service will move to into the Welk Theater in case of inclement weather.

Veterans Show at Clay Cooper Theatre
You can purchase a ticket ($18) to attend the 10:00am Hot Rods & High Heels show at the Clay Cooper Theatre. A box lunch will be provided after the morning show and then you stay in your reserved seat for the afternoon activities that includes many local entertainers. Everyone should purchase their own tickets as you have in past few years. I recommend calling ASAP since the show has been sold out for many years.

“When combat veterans come together for their reunions, there are always stories about the courageous medics and nurses that saved their lives and lives of their buddies.
