These are some photos I took Friday, 14 May 2010 with members of A/1/8 and B/1/8 Infantry, 4th Infantry Division during their reunion in Washington, D. C. at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. We held a ceremony in front of Panel 17E at the Wall in memory of those who perished in the Battle of Polei Doc, March 22, 1967 and the 'Nine Days In May Battle' ... May 18-26, 1967, Duc Co, Central Highlands, Vietnam and all our other comrades, who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms.

It was Landis Bargatze, David Casas and my own first trip to the Wall. We scouted the location for the ceremony in advance and coordinated with the Park Service Staff. The emotional impact of seeing the names of men I lost in combat on that Wall was almost too much to bear. That is why I took so long to put this page up on the site. I needed some time to decompress. Over 40 years and the memories still bring a lump to my throat and tears to my eyes.

As I sit here on this Memorial Day publishing this site, I want to say simply: God Bless America and God Bless all the brave men and women who serve our country in the Armed Services.

PS: A very special thank you to all those who help us, when we return home so changed from when we left. You know who you are and so do we...
