Letter Home
11 SEP 1968

Dear Mom and Dad,

I'm getting your letters about a week after you send them. I hope you haven't sent that package yet, cause I could sure use a big box of oatmeal and some salt. That would beat powdered eggs for breakfast. It's still monsoon here and it gets really cold at night. The chow truck yesterday was almost hit by 4-82mm mortar rounds. Oh yeah! I got a camera, an instamatic 104, so please send me some film for it and mark the box "Film", so they won't x-ray it. When I get these things, that I can't get here, I should be pretty well set. The worst part over here is the people tend to forget there is a war going on between contacts. That can be dangerous. We're still on perimeter guard, which is nice cause we get hot chow and sometimes a shower.

Hope everyone is doing fine. I have to go now.

P.S. Save my letters, I want to use them for a diary.

Love,

Homer
